"God is Good, All the Time"

Hello everyone,

I know I haven't blogged in a long time, but life is busy. I am in Texas right now for my nine month checkup. I flew in on Thursday and will leave this evening. I received all my results today at MDAnderson. All tests were negative and I am still dancing with NED! I will have been healed one year this February. Wow, it just doesn't seem like a year has went by. I guess I have been so busy with church, kids, and work that I didn't even notice. I owe my life to God and I am going to live it for him everyday. I have made that promise and I will keep it. My radiation oncologist said when I make it to two years we will celebrate. The five year mark means I will be homefree! I know God has healed me and I need to keep that faith.

I met a little boy named Thomas at MDAnderson. Thomas is four years old and has cancer in his right testical which they removed. Thomas and I smiled and played together for a long time. His mommy just had a baby and is going through alot. Thomas' mom had to go home and he was staying over night at the hospital for chemo. His grandma was staying with him, but it just wasn't the same. Thomas screamed and cried when his mommy left the room. My heart just aches for this little boy. He just don't understand the word Cancer which most of us don't. He tells his little friends that he is bald because of his surgery. His mother tries not to mention cancer. Thomas has the biggest smile and I will never forget him. Please keep this little boy in your prayers. He may never have children and the doctors don't really know what is to come. Only God knows and he has a plan for little Thomas!
